2026-08-26: EWGT 2026 Conference - last practical information!
Dear Participants of the EWGT 2026 Conference,
We are looking forward to host you soon in Kraków for EWGT 2026 Conference!
Please find below the list of important and practical information for participants:
- The conference venue is on the main Campus of Cracow University of Technology (ul. Warszawska 24), approx. 5 minutes from the railway station and a 10-minute walk to the Old Town and Main Market Square. The conference will take place in the “Działownia” Building: map
- We will include an orientation map on the website shortly before the conference, indicating the location of the “Działownia” the social event places (Collegium Maius, Barka Stefan Batory).
- Registration at the “Działownia” will be open on the day before the conference (1st Sep) between 4-6 pm and on the first conference day (2nd Sep) from 8 am.
- Final programme version is available online, please check your allocated session slot and format (podium or poster): Programme
- For podium presenters: please send us your presentation to ewgt2026@pk.edu.pl by Sunday, August 30th at the latest. Please save your presentation as a PDF file, named in the following format: [session_no]_[surname]_[initial] (for example 3A_Paszkowski_J). Please mind that 20 minutes are allocated for each podium talk, and presentations should take max. 12 – 15 minutes, with remaining time for discussion and Q&A. Please adhere to the time schedule and do not exceed the 15-minute limit. Please also be in the session room no later than 15 minutes before the start of your session.
- Podium session chairs: we kindly ask the speakers indicated in the programme to act as the session chairs responsable for keeping up to the schedule and chairing the discussion. Please be also reassured that you will be assisted by the local technical support.
- For poster presenters: please prepare and print out the posters in the A0 format, and bring them to your respective poster session no later than 15 minutes before the session start. Besides, please send us your poster in .pdf format to ewgt2026@pk.edu.pl by Sunday, August 30th at the latest. Please also mind the total duration of each poster session (80 minutes).
- Welcome reception on the first day (Sep 2nd) will begin at 19:00 at Collegium Maius (map).
- Gala dinner on the second day (Sep 3rd) will start at 19:00 on Barka (ship) Stefan Batory (map) - mandatory invitations to be collected upon registration.

2026-08-05: Detailed conference programme announced!
The full programme of the 28th EWGT conference has now been released! [

The programme features more than 80 podium and 40 poster presentations, grouped into thematic sessions that cover the broad spectrum of transportation science topics. More than 120 attendees from ca. 30 countries worldwide will share outputs their advancements and outputs in transportation research.
To confirm inclusion in the final programme, we would like to ask all the presenting authors to complete ttheir registration by August 15th.
We are also pleased to confirm the keynote programme for EWGT 2026! Our invited speakers will present state-of-the-art insights on the optimisation of demand-adaptive transport, public transportation pricing, and travel behaviour modelling. Full information is available here: [

Finally, please note that the regular registration fee has been extended until August 15th! We warmly invite everyone interested to register for EWGT 2026 (as attendees) and join us for the conference sessions, as well as our networking and social programme.

Authors of accepted abstracts can submit their full papers via individual links which were circulated to the e-mail addresses of corresponding authors. We will be also sharing information soon on the additional publication opportunities in special journal issues.

2026-04-10: Abstract decisions communicated
We are pleased to inform that decisions on extended abstracts have been sent out to all the corresponding authors who have submitted their work for the EWGT 2026 conference!
Authors of accepted submissions are now invited to prepare the full paper of max. 8 pages before May 24
th 2026. Please use the templates and guidelines provided on our website ().

2025-03-10: EWGT 2026 International Scientific Committee and keynote speakers announced!
We are honoured to announce the keynote speakers of the EWGT 2026 conference – outstanding researchers who will share their insights into the latest research findings and evolving landscape of transport optimisation, public transportation, and travel behaviour:
- Prof. Anna Nicińska (Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw)
- Prof. Alejandro Tirachini (Institute of Public Transport Planning, Technical University of Braunschweig)
- Prof. Michael Hewitt (Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago)
In addition to our keynotes, we are proud to introduce the EWGT 2026 International Scientific Committee – a distinguished group of over 50 academics and professionals leading in transportation research in Europe and worldwide, ensuring the highest level of scientific excellence for this year’s programme. 2026-02-16: Second call for abstracts – deadline extended until March 15
th!
We are glad to announce the second call for abstracts for the EWGT 2026 conference in Krakow. Crucially, the deadline for submitting the extended abstracts has now been extended until March 15th!

2026-02-10: Draft schedule and information on sightseeing tours published
The draft outline of conference schedule has been posted under the following link: HERE.

We are happy to announce that EWGT 2026 attendees will have the opportunity to enrich their conference experience and to take part in the guided tours of the most popular tourist landmarks or historical sites in and around Krakow. Full information and registration details will be provided soon.
2026-01-19: Call for submissions is now open!
We are pleased to announce that the call for papers for the EWGT 2026 in Krakow has been officially launched!
You are welcome to submit an extended abstract of your research (max. 3 pages, acc. to the Word or LaTeX template) before 01st March 2026 in the first stage. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper (max. 8 pages) in the second stage.
